Hey hope! That poppin cookin is a different version! The ones you bought you mix into different candy versions of food. The other kind is a mix that makes the candy from liquids. Same concept but a different candy

For your future culinary endeavors, sugar dissolves very easily in water. Just soak the bowls with the sugar in water for like 10 minutes in hot water or like 30 minutes in cold water and the sugar will dissolve and you can clean it. I do this all the time when I make caramel.

Well that was a super fun video!!! That sugar cookie by the rock/flower candy lady was INCREDIBLE looking!!

HOPE!! The Japanese one you need the gummy tsureta kit specifically for it to be how it is in the tiktok, the kits you got were totally different kits. Popin Cookin do all sorts of creative food related candy kits, you just needed a specific one for this.

Hey! NerdECrafter covered the actual satisfying candy kit in a video about Japanese candy kits! I recommend checking it out.

The Japanese diet candies that you got aren’t the same thing as what the tik tok video had, but all Japanese DIY candies are so fun to make!! I’ve only tried a couple of them, but the ones I did try were delicious!😂

A shop near my university sold gourmet guava marshmallows when there were like markets and fairs going on. I’ve been chasing that flavour ever since, they were so good!!!

This was such a fun video!! I’d love to try everything but unfortunately, I can’t. Long story short, having kids (5 of them) destroyed my teeth. I basically eat nothing these days lol but it’s all good, having my babies was worth it! (Genetics also played a factor in the whole thing too)
Thanks for sharing this gorgeous, tasty video with us!! ❤️

I think Tammy’s sugar crystals are actually Kohakuto, a type of traditional Japanese candy which is basically dried agar jelly. It is quite easy to make but the way she moulds and colours it gives it a new look, the products are so beautiful.

Hey Hope! So, about the Japanese candy from Tiktok. I live in Japan for a long time and this is a cute popular type of candy for kids. It’s called 知育菓子 (chiikukashi, which means educational sweets). Those candies are usually made from simple ingredients like baking soda, fruit/vegetable extract, water, etc, and it’s all about color and texture changing.
The first candy of this type was produced by a company called Kracie Holdings back in 1986 and was called ねるねるねるね (nerunerunerune, which means knead it thoroughly). Right now there are different varieties of these candies, some you need to mix things in and make a fluffy cream texture candy (the one that was in a video), and some are like make the mini food version. The particular candy you were looking for initially is called グミ釣れた (gumitsureta, which means fishing for the gummy). They cost about 1.5 dollars here.
If you are interested in this candy I can send you a bunch to try out or maybe you can get them somewhere in the United States?

Tastelybox is located where I live! The store and the staff are absolutely incredible!! I haven’t been there since the summer so thank you for this sweet reminder. I think I’ll go hit them up today and see what other new experiments they’ve created 😁

Those crystal thingies are beautiful and would make a great wedding party favor. Specially the flowers.

Pretty sure that Tammy’s candies are kohakuto. It’s an extremely popular textured candy for a lot of mukbangers who also do ASMR videos (like Hongyu ASMR). I always love hearing that crunch and the slight softness inside!

if you like the look of japanese candy kits like the poppin cookin, you should check out some of the older videos that emmymade has on her channel. They are very fun kits. I have ordered some from amazon before and now they are selling some of them in my local grocery store in NC. So much fun, and definitely lots of different flavors and textures.

I just want a whole video of hope eating things that look like other non-edible things. Like can we put her in a room with a bunch of edible objects mixed with real ones and ask her to locate the food? :’D Damn those rock cookies at the end were SO nice!

Marshmallow Co are delicious, their choc mint was amazing. Seems weird the company you ordered from pack them in regular ziplock bags and not properly sealed packaging.
