5:59 i live in canada and they basically teach this honestly they say its percent times whole divided by 100. In this case they are just doing percent times whole number and moving it 2 decimal places left which is literally divided by 100.

The way the guy solved the equation with the 7% out of 106 is actually the way my math teacher taught us at school. I have no idea how efficient (or inefficient) education system is in the US, but in Polish school (or at least in mine) they teach actually that method 😅😅
