tiktok!!
Once again, the government has decided it is going to try to ban TikTok. Today, we’re discussing whether this is a good or bad thing.

It’s crazy we were talking about this in a meeting at work today.
great content and take as per usual. been watching you forever brett, and i applaud your dedication to youtube and overall amazing atmosphere.
Considering the securty concern, it at least needs to be banned on government phones.
Everyone at my school is constantly asking me why I don’t use Tik Tok or Instagram and say I’m lame for not using it. These same people are failing several classes.
I’ve deleted TikTok for about a month now and I’ve never felt better! The entire app just made me have horrible mental health and no time with how it’s constantly having you scroll with no interpretation of time. I totally recommend deleting the app to all people I talk to!
Banning it would ruin kids lives, why hasn’t that happened already? Did I say ruin… I meant save kids, SAVE them
Tiktok along with social media itself is an absolute cancer on society especially for the mental wellbeing
Brett has the best ways to slide in her sponserships haha its amazing😊😊
It’s not a bill to ban tik Tok. It gives the president the power to ban and shutdown any website, like truth social.
When I deleted twitter and TikTok i realized I need to get out more . I’ve been working out more recently, going on hikes and I’m slowly regaining my attention span and focus back. It hasn’t been easy but oh man is it worth it.
I feel about TikTok the way I felt about Twitter. I used it for a day, realized it was stupid and useless, and never used it again.
As a high school teacher I’m crossing my fingers for this ban 🤞 One less reservoir of dopamine for me to compete with.
My 14yo cousins are unironically mad that tik tok is getting bad to the point that they got into an argument with me saying how I don’t know how the internet works (I’m 22, I’ve been online since they were toddlers). Genuinely glad this literal brain rot is getting banned
Actually, It’s WORSE: Read the bill!
According to Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), H.R. 7521 gives the President to unilaterally ban ANY apps, websites, and MORE that they don’t like… just branding them affected by governments!
Y’all will survive without TikTok. YouTube comments is as social as I get when it comes to social media. No Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and definitely not TikTok. I’m old enough to remember life without any of these. We were all just fine
It’s a slippery slope. You ban one thing and then you’ll ban something else.
Government shouldn’t be in the business of banning anything. Parents just need to parent.
Deleted it a long time ago. It’s nothing but a waste of time and brain power.
in my life tik tok has corrupted so much. im a senior in hs. during Covid everyone got hooked. since then people have grown up so fast. hookup culture, normalizing drugs & partying (to an abnormal extent), “tik tok culture”, decreasing once normal college rates from tik tok overhyping them, propaganda, addiction and a lack of individuality and discipline is j a few. I haven’t been on it in 3 years. I would love to see my classmates and friends off it and actually socializing and living in the real world for once. not living based off tik tok trends
Your point on setting the precedent was really eye-opening. It seems there’s a lot at stake for freedom of speech beyond just Tik Tok.
