I just hate how egotistic and arrogant the members of the board act. They act like its a constant facebook/reddit story that they are TRIGGERING the other person. AND THEY DON’T STOP FUCKING INTERUPTING HIM! YOU CANT ASK A TRICK QUESTION AND EXPECT THEM TO ANSWER EXACTLY HOW YOU WANT THEM TOO!
They don’t even know what they are talking about. They are asking all the wrong questions. This was a great opportunity to ask about how the algorithm promotes radical content and rage bait, how it celebrates oversharing and political exremism.
Instead, they asked about “the blackout challenge,” “how wifi works,” or “how kids under 18 access the app.” I’m surprised they didn’t ask “how is tiktok protecting my kids from receiving razorblades in their Halloween candy?”
Pyro looks so happy whilst making the mariana trench joke. It’s like a little puppy just learnt science.

I feel like in meetings/conferences like this, they really should have somebody there that actually uses and is active on tiktok to add/explain things

As much as I hate TikTok for being at the forefront of the attention span crisis, man, this hearing was just the usual arrogant politician act. They didn’t want answers, they just wanted that man grilled. And just like Pyro said, It’s very safe to bet there’s a lot of money involved in getting TikTok out of the market.
The judges need to be taught about how the internet works before they do another trial.
Always scary to see Politicians openly show themselves as the paid actors they are. None of these people wanted a hearing and a discussion, they wanted to win, they had to win, and so they acted like that on every question.
