People should own their own data. Companies should not be allowed to sell our data. If a person wants to sell their data, fine, that is their decision. They can do so with a voluntary opt-in and direct consent. Privacy and personal ownership of data should be the default.

I have never seen anyone telling the truth or answering “Yes or No” in this committee. All liars talk too much or say something off-topic. Twitter officials did it, and TikTok did the same thing.
SVB officials have to be on this committee after this dude.

I like the mention of USC 18 Sec 1001 at the beginning. But, as a general question, how come no one ever gets indicted when they lie. There is generally more lies and truth, and they all know that no one gets prosecuted.

While I appreciate this stern woman’s directness and firmness… Does she really believe this guy gives a damn to her “Your Under Oath” proclamation when our own U.S. folks under oath lie all day long and no one does a damn thing about it ….. B.S. theater at best !!!

Yes, lying to Congress has consequences…..just ask the dozens of bureaucrats who have done so in the past few years, they’re definitely all serving time now.

Tik Tok and the rest of the Chinese own company are required to share, divulge and submit any information the Chinese government may demand under their law.

He’s lying and he’ll get away with it just like the last woman that testified on behalf of TikTok and repeatedly lied.
