I had no idea that this case got solved past the bodies in the suitcase! I’m so happy their families got justice for this horrific crime.

It’s terrifying…they were only in that man’s house because of the housing crisis. That’s the only reason grown couples are renting one room out of peoples houses these days, because housing is unaffordable. This sick man took advantage of them financially, then physically. Evil trash.

Landlording is already a grift, but $1500 a month for a desperate couple during Covid when they can’t work and murdering them over your scam prices shows just how sick and evil this man truly was. This case highlights the importance of basic, affordable housing for all so people don’t need to be at the whims of crazy grifters who see landlord BS as the perfect scheme.

Ah, I forgot that you were born here, Adrian!
We live about an hour NE of Seattle, and my son actually knows one of the kids who found the suitcase – no joke. He was supposed to hang out with them that weekend because his birthday was a week before and they weren’t able to make it to his birthday celebration. I’m REALLY glad he didn’t. Such a tragic story. My son’s friend still has some PTSD symptoms from finding the body, and of course the victims’ familes have shattered hearts 😞

One of the creepiest yet coolest apps to ever be invented. I remember the creator of the app was devastated when he found out about this, he said something like, This was never my intention when I made this app, and the coincidence is mindblowing that it would bring those people to that exact spot

I lived in this same neighborhood at the time, it neighbors West Seattle. It’s absolutely chilling to know this happened down the street from me. Like you chose to throw away 3 lives (including his own) over rent? Really blows me away how anyone can justify that reaction.

Reminds me of the term ‘the banality of evil’. Dennis Rader was the friendly, neighbourhood church volunteer to everyone who knew him, until he was revealed to be prolific serial killer BTK. You never know what goes on behind closed doors. At the other end of the spectrum, friend of mine has had this tiny old lady living nearby for years & she quietly goes about her little daily routine, walking her terrier, doing her shopping, etc. He got chatting with her one day & it turns out she’d been a certified badass in the French resistance during WW2, trained in multiple forms of combat & took out a lot of bad guys. Outward appearances can hide a lot of secrets, good or bad.

His poor daughter! He put her through horrific abuse, and when she got the courage to report him, nobody did anything!

Hello Adrian I’m from Africa and in most murder cases where 1 or plus people commit murder we call it “ ngozi” meaning the spirit of the deceased will come back to hunt or get the truth out until the deed is done. No one gets away with murder, it’s either your caught or you commit suicide 1 way or the other, if you don’t abide by the proper rules of asking for forgiveness you will go through the most painful and excruciating paranormal experiences ever

Whoever made the sole decision not to press charges against that man for what he did to his daughter is pathetic. Wonder how they sleep at night?

You’d think anyone with a violent history wouldn’t be allowed to be a landlord. That is so freaking dangerous.

I’ve been living near Seattle since 2014, and in that time there’s been a growing mistrust of the police due to how they handle things. It leads to crimes often not being reported, and people trying to handle things themselves. When you combine that with a housing crisis that is causing a huge increase in homelessness, it doesn’t surprise me that evil people are out there taking advantage of those circumstances.

I hope that the kids that found the suitcase are ok, no doubt it must have been horrifying for them.

The craziest thing I found about this case is that the teens used the prompt, “money” for this Rando trip. (They thought about money and finding money before they pressed go and the random coordinates generated). And the young slain man’s nickname is?? Cash. 😮

This is sadly the world we live in. People who have weed in their pockets or ‘pirate’ things can land behind bars for years, but actual monster get let free again and again. We really need to start finding out which judges are responsible for these things and make it known how horrible they are.

What a sad story—whatever universal forces were at work that day, I’m grateful that they were found and their killer was caught. I hope the kids are getting the help they need to get through what they’ve been dealing with.

I recommend talking about the Cody Posey case, he was a 14 year old who killed his whole family on a famous news anchor’s ranch, Sam Donaldson. I’m really shocked that no one has done him yet. Crazy back story with sad twist of fate.
