@GotBakingSoda idk it may have to do with all the literal murders they’ve committed against black folks and poc and disabled people and women and lgbtq+ people etc etc. not only that, the police exist as a way of protecting property, not people. to serve and protect is a misnomer. they are not in the business of stopping crimes before they happen but rather enforcing the law and the prison industrial complex regardless of how immoral they are.

Also, I will say there are a lot of cities that don’t let cops have facial hair or visible tattoos. My city just allowed police officers to pass the academy with visible tattoos as of last year, but you still can’t have a beard, though a mustache is okay apparently. But I would absolutely be ashamed if I was a police officer and my fellow officers found out what I was doing on a kids app….

Okay Kurtis, I didn’t think I’d get this annoyed about it and it’s really silly, but I am.

We do not get an extra greeting. The first greeting is SPECIFICALLY “if you’re new here”, it’s not for subscribers, or people who are not new anyways. The second greeting is not EXTRA since we weren’t included in the first one. It’s only a special greeting at best.

Just had to get that off my chest cuz im loosing my mind.

I guess i find the scary/gangster-cop tik toks insensitive, but i think it’s more ironic and telling in the fact that it kinda shows how we as a society have worshipped cops as modern cowboys. when we’re kids, we think of cops as cool cuz they get to shoot people and uphold justice like knights when that should be the last thing cops should be. cops should de escalate cases and make sure people are safe. When it comes to these tik toks, it kinda just shows how these cops are just children parading in the suit, trying to live the kiddie fantasy :/

anne our officers don’t have unlimited free time just because there are multiple cops that make tik-toks in their own free time. Most of these tik-toks are most likely made when the officers are off duty or in between calls.

If you go out into public thinking you’re going to war, no wonder you’re killing unarmed people. Also, their jobs aren’t that dangerous. Police work is ranked as the18th most dangerous job in America (based on on the job injury or death), beneath agricultural workers, construction workers, farmers, and fisherman.

Everyone would do well to remember that there are good and bad people in every profession.

Also headlines by themselves don’t mean much for proving that claims of police brutatility are correct, Donut Operator has proved this time after time.

P.S. I know making jokes is your thing but if you take into account that cops are people too then you wouldn’t see this as any stranger than a doctor, or a truck driver making a tik tok. The one difference being that cops risk there lives occasionally.
