Even when you skip a video after 1 second, it still registers it as a view, unlike youtube where it needs to watch the video for at least a minute for it to register a view

Tiktok could have been the next Vine, in retrospect “1 Minute Entertainment” format of Tiktok is an masterpiece for today’s time BUT Tiktok for some reason became the platform for stupid, cringe lip sync and talentless creators. Its not the tiktok that is the problem, its their “chapri” audience which is the problem. At the end of the day, tiktok is also just an algorithm if majority of the people follow cringe content such as that of Amir siddiqui, Team07 and many others the tiktok algorithm will just throw you videos similar to that cringe content. Because in all honesty, thats what works and Tiktok is benefitting from that.
Instead of banning tiktok, we should just go to tiktok and follow good tiktokers who post great content (Maybe even youtubers who are there) if we do that after some time these cringe tiktokers will fade away as they are destined to sooner or later.
