TikTok – The Dangers of a Poisonous App

tiktok!!

TikTok has exploded onto the social networking scene in a very decisive way, however the connections back to an authoritative and intrusive government should concern anyone using this platform, either foreign or domestic.

Pinning a comment that is different than my typical standard self promotions because it is important I once again reiterate that these criticisms are leveled against the authoritarian Chinese government… NOT at the Chinese citizens themselves.

Get this, China is planning on banning international online gaming. Not only that but the new laws they’re trying to pass would also ban zombie and pandemic-style games

China is gaining a stronger grip on entertainment for years now. Now that companies have heavily invested in their markets, they can’t afford to lose that investment in an overseas market.

TBH: The moment I first read about it, I knew I’d never use TikTok because it’s written TikTok instead of TickTock. I find the way it’s written kinda… weird.
I had to think of “cringy Engrish” and I guess I was ultimately right.

In the last year alone we’ve had Huawei, TikTik, Zoom and now Valorant. All Chinese or Chinese backed applications and electronics companies infiltrating the United States. Not to mention Charles Leiber, the Harvard Professor in charge of the Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department who was getting paid $50K a month by the CCP to sell them access to our technology. Dudes, we’re being invaded by China. Plain and simple. The Chinese Communist government is the problem. Not Russia. Now, both TikTok and Zoom have been officially declared by the FBI, US Senate and Department Of Defense as malware and a national security risk. But hey, this is all a “conspiracy theory” right?

I, too, discourage the use of Tik Tok, not because of Chinese Propaganda, but because it’s home to some of the most unoriginal people to ever exist

Growing up we got lecture after lecture on the dangers of online interaction and being careful about what you say and post about yourself. Because even if you don’t explicitly give away a piece of information people may still get it anyway just from studying the other things you post. Now it’s encouraged and people seem to do it without a second thought. Even if you can’t search up a face, that’s still information that people can easily use to identify someone. Did people just stop caring, or is all this internet fame and fortune just too much to resist?
