Yep after looking into it, this thing is super bad. If you’re on the internet, they have total control over you.

Wtf is wrong with the Government, even trying to fix a problem becomes a sycophantic power grab !!!!!

The whole data collection empire needs to be heavily regulated and reined in. They should also lose their liability shield if they are discriminating against certain people based on politics, race, religion, etc.

The government could have strengthened privacy laws that would have rendered Tik Tok data collection concerns toothless and done much to help people otherwise.

It’s not merely enough to oppose the Restrict Act but demand congress make good on their public concerns for spying and pass better privacy laws.

Especially for those who had such a public showing: put up or shut up.

Our government can never be trusted again. This means our politicians – the ones we elected – can never be trusted again. Especially the ones who signed their names to this law. These pols specifically should be primaried as soon as possible.

You can generally assume if it’s bipartisan and Mitt Romney’s involved, it’s probably bad news.

There aren’t too many things that would actually get me to go outside and protest, but the Restrict Act getting passed would make me take to the streets.

I’ve always said restricting bills to 12point font, one page front and back would solve most of the problems with our government.

Louis Rossmann of “right to repair” fame does a very thorough read-through of the entire bill. Yes, this is Patriot Act, SOPA on steroids, and worse than anything to come down the pike in a long time.

The first red flag is that it’s a bipartisan bill. Sadly, in today’s government you can almost guarantee that a bipartisan bill does not have the best interest of it’s citizens at heart.

You guys should cover Utah’s social media bill. Same thing. Overly broad and handing over privacy and freedom in the name if protecting teens.

The bill also removes FOIA requirements so you can’t even ask them how they are making decisions. It’s the worst bill since the Patriot Act.

The Tic Tock ban is all to do with big tech getting rid of the competition (Advertising money) through Government means, but the add-on’s are scary. I’m in Australia but that bill that’s being proposed is really chilling. Where watching ‘1984’ play out in real time.😧

Interpretation can change. And do we really want to create a ‘tool’ like this to be in the hands of Presidential appointment… forever? With no public FOIA? It’s the most dangerous internet bill I’ve seen… anywhere. Ever. Made a video on this and glad to see larger channels covering it. Thank you! Everyone should be talking about this.
