So both parties are unified against TikTok and ask tough questions but NEVER ask tough questions of the financial system, covid origins, 400,000 gallons of Tritium water leaked by a nuclear plant and why they didn’t tell the public for months.
Why officials were allowed to poison the air, water & land in Ohio when they set these chemicals ablaze?

“Joe Biden will lose because he got my TikTok banned” has to be the epitome for the attention span of a TikTok user. Do they even know who to protest?

You’re going to have a mental break down if you lose TikTok? Ma’am I’m fairly certain that will happen regardless.

Its quite funny that only because of tiktok I have seen journalists talk about the actual bill and how it is about much more than just banning tiktok. It would give the government broad powers to ban ANY social media they want to. Its a scary and authoritarian bill.

See this is the reason platforms like tiktok need to up. Cause the amount of government intervention in media is crazy. Y’all go see the whole interview of how dumb the congressmen were. They were acting like children with no knowledge of tech. But the tv channel here clipped out the parts making it look like the Ceo is on the bad

I wish they’d come together on other issues like they did on TikTok. What about starvation, homelessness an school shootings? What about those? But they wanna ban an app.

Watching the Congress speak and lash out is very painful indeed. The old relics don’t have a clue about the questions they asking. The US Congress ihas shown to the entire world that it s nothing more than a circus

If I was part of a US government that had access to domestic social media companies data, I would also think it was “preposterous” that the Chinese government didn’t have access to Tiktok’s data too. 😉

What is also “possible” is that this company is fudging the numbers on videos. In particular there is one video of this guy dancing that is very unlikely that it received over 500,00 views. This indicates that the company is “sponging” the numbers to make the videos appear more popular than they would otherwise be if they didn’t add extraordinary numbers of views of their owner to make these uninteresting videos receive more user views than they normally otherwise would receive.

It’s because some people do not think it’s a big deal about their personal info or activities being viewed by someone in China while they got what they want from this app. They never thought of big data can track everything, influence people, but just think of themselves at the moment. Wait until it opens all the ports in their phones and start talking to them by itself before they know it’s serious.
