Even though I don’t personally support TikTok, I was disappointed to see the Senate hearing where it seemed like the decision to ban the app was already made. It’s important to have fair and unbiased evaluations of these kinds of situations, and rushing to judgment without considering all perspectives is not how our system should work.

I understand the concerns they have with TikTok, but the hearing was four hours of old people yelling at technology.

Absolutely shocking to see the state of us politicians/lawyers or whatever they are – the shameless lies, hypocrisy and lack of integrity was there for all to see. This wasn’t an open and fair discussion – they may as well have put the guy in the stocks and started throwing fruits or rocks at him…or just burnt him at the stake

Just disgusting

Representatives questions just prove most of them dont get the first thing about the whole internet/privacy/data stuff works. Therefore, they are not capable of taking these decisions.

regarding the grapefruit thing: it’s even more comical considering how the US President once advised citizens to drink sanitizer to cure covid

Essentially it’s a matter of competing for the right to speak. In fact Congress is more concerned about LGBT

how about having a hearing of avoiding gun violence in schools if they really care about the teens?

I read into this a lot for a recent video on my channel on the threats behind TikTok and personally I feel that a forced sale is more likely than a ban.
