Grilled? Lol. I’m not sure if these questions are pre-made by someone out of touch with tech by 15 years with how social media operates or if those “grilling” the CEO of tiktok act less knowledgeable than minors on tiktok following trends on the platform.
Funny you didn’t bring up Cambridge Analytica and other American companies that abused user data, like was brought up during this.
I’m not defending Tik Tok. I don’t use it or even have it installed. We have a huge corporate issue with privacy as a whole.

The title of this video should be “National Security Threat, Congress has no idea how technology works. It should concern us all”. They clearly showed how out of touch they are with how things work now. They are so out of touch, and clearly influenced by lobbyists.
They really don’t know that the trends and the people themselves making these awful trends more of a threat then the company and its affiliates.
Hearing that these bureaucrats care so much about American privacy and freedom, Snowden smiled and raised his middle finger.
So why isn’t Facebook and Google being grilled about surveying every thing you do?
Idk how congress and its people can be so out of touch.

Why on Earth would ByteDance sell TikTok? US is only 15% of its total users.
TikTok has never followed me to the store. Google tells me where I go, how fast I got there, what I should buy, how many miles I have gone, and who I visited. So no, I’m not very concerned about China.
I wish they charged the NRA in the same way. The hypocrisy in these politicians trying to play righteous and worried about others is beyond me.
When someone already made up their mind to do something, there is really nothing you can say that will affect anything. Pity him to be at the wrong place at the wrong time when tension between US and China is high.

Congressional grillers kept demanding a yes or no answer to their questions., but when roles are reversed they never give a straight answer.
I love how congresswomen/men care about the children safety while let guns/drugs lose for full access by children of America. Nice job done.
I’m a millennial and I think the world would be a better place without it, but another will come along and take its place if it doesn’t sell. Social media craziness is here to stay unfortunately
