A quick way to tell if someone has a shorter attention span than a fish is to see if the Tik Tok app is on their phone

I’ve personally never been a fan of the app. It’s intentionally addictive and corrupts the minds of our youth.

Please ban it. I have never seen any redeeming value come from it. I stay clear of it, because I see other people glued to it and I don’t ever want to look like that to others.

Yeah, he’s going to address the security concerns of the CCP’s control over Chinese companies…
… after he gets word from the CCP about what he’s approved to say to Congress.
I’m sure he will throw a lot of “freedom” and “democracy”, and “fairness” in those speeches to Congress, too.

It really goes beyond foreign spying. The way social media is structured, it encourages addiction. Also, if younger people always have their attention focused on the cell, then they aren’t able to pay attention to what is going on around them physically in the moment. THIS IS A MARKER FOR A PERSON’S ABILITY TO DEVELOP SELF-DISCIPLINE, LIKE PEOPLE WHO TRAIN IN THE MARTIAL ARTS, ETC. Lastly, social media can be the ultimate peer-pressure to bring depression and anxiety to younger folks esp. ♥️🏋️💜

The bigger question is. What about all the Chinese home security cameras that process all their data directly through Chinese servers. They can eavesdrop on millions of homes in the US. Another question is. If TikTok is a threat, why did Microsoft install it on all new PC’s? Even enterprise level workstations.

The CEO doesn’t want his children to use Tik Tok. Isn’t that obvious why we should ban it?😂

As an advertiser, it drives me insane that all the focus is on TikTok when all apps are spying on you. Ban the anti privacy practices, not the apps.

TikTok ban seems more likely but is still extremely unlikely to be enforced because of First and Fourteenth Amendments.

It’s funny how other apps do the same. It’s not about privacy, and it’s still ok for the US government to monitor citizens

TikTok has become a popular platform among young people, but it also poses significant dangers to society. The app has been associated with various harmful trends and challenges that can physically harm people. Moreover, cyberbullying and shaming are prevalent on the app, leading to cases of suicide. What’s more concerning is that the app allows children under 18 to make videos of themselves without parental supervision, increasing the risk of exploitation and sexual predation. Furthermore, the app’s data collection practices have raised concerns, with reports suggesting that TikTok has been stealing data from the USA, making it a high-security risk. It is crucial to protect vulnerable users, particularly children, from these dangers and take measures to ensure their safety.
