Bans on TikTok Spread Around the World

tiktok!!

The British parliament is the latest government to put restrictions on TikTok, the app owned by Beijing-based company ByteDance. The UK measure blocks the app from any government-owned devices. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced measures for his country’s government-issued phones in February. In the United States, about 30 states have already banned the use of TikTok on government devices. Inside Edition Digital’s TC Newman has more.

I still can’t believe it was even allowed on gov devices. We had a Marine lose their phone just because they were charging it on a gov computer. I don’t get why this is a new issue, but looks like the confusion is exactly what they want to generate.

I am not one to criticize, even though I believe criticism is vital. It’s a good thing that TikTok is being banned by many countries, it’s true when a spokesman in Afghanistan stated that it is misleading the younger generation.

Government devices should be used for official government issues not social media and or personal use

Government devices should not have any Social Media apps on them anyway regardless. Those should be designated to private phones.

*Look at the world since the arrival of Social Media*

We can’t turn back time, but we can get rid of social media to bring some sense of normalcy back into the world. Spread this message.

It’s scary to think that all of our countries have people in government that actually use Tik-Tok.

Why would government-owned devices even be used for accessing social medias anyway? It should be used for government work.

I don’t think any government should have official social media platforms.

I also feel like this “ban” is going to limit social news that would otherwise not reach such a broad platform.

At first I thought they were gonna ban it outright for everyone. But it makes sense for government officials. You never know when Winnie the Pooh is listening in on the other side.

Banning TikTok is among the most asinine thing to exist. Literally no different than banning YouTube.

This has to be one for the craziest things, a TikTok app is more dangerous then the dark web, and hackers…if TikTok is stopping your kids from learning there is something wrong with the attention u giving your kids. The people that don’t have a platform wants to ban it but TikTok has helped so much people, has bought people together, even provided help to people in crisis. I agree that we need safety protocols in place but to take away it all together is also taking way people lively hood, but of course those that is unaffected would say get rid of it.
