For your lava lamp, you need to use an incandescent lightbulb because it heats up when turned on. Fluorescent and LEDs don’t. Love your videos ☺

For the lava lamp if you’re using an energy efficient or LED bulb they’re probably not getting hot enough. Those old incandescents get hot quick which made them good for lamps like this.

The amount of effort Hope puts into her content really gives! I look forward to every single one!!

Hope! Thank you for the nostalgia trip!! I had a lava lamp in the 90’s. You need to use a standard incandescent light bulb for them to work optimally, though. Led light bulbs don’t produce nearly enough heat to work well. Incandescent bulbs, however, do get hot enough to melt the wax at the bottom.

I remember those super condensed clothes things! My parents used to only let me get T-shirts like that on vacation so they wouldn’t take much space up in our baggage. 😂

They totally still have the expanding washcloths at the dollar tree! When my kids were little, they were fascinated by them 😆

I loved this video reliving my 90s/00s childhood and making me so happy! My aunt had bought me the popcorn shirt and I thought I looked so weird, I never had floam but did get magic sand which I loved, my sister had a snuggie and lava lamps which she was obsessed, my sister and I had the towels that grew in water (they used to sell at the dollar store), all my friends had Bratz and I had barbie because my mom did not like them, all my friends had Ugg’s in high school but they were too expensive (still can get myself to spend that amount either lol), used to have a pair of the plastic shoes which I wore when ridding my bike to my friends in the summer cause flip flops were dangerous lol, and my cousins had ipod and I had the mp3.

I’m absolutely in love with her hair, it’s so luscious and the pink really is beautiful, girl’s never had a bad hair day, hair always on flick 👌🏽

I remember BEGGING my mom for jelly sandals and then when I got them they were the most uncomfortable things I had ever put on my feet in my 7 years of existence. Then I ‘lost’ them so she wouldn’t harp on me for not wearing them. Looking back it’s kinda weird she didn’t question that I walked all the way home from the park with bare feet. I think she got the memo that I really didn’t like them lol

Really enjoying this series! I’m a couple generations older than our lovely hostess…but seeing this stiff through her eyes is fun!

I was born in 1990, lol. The amount of nostalgia in this video is insane! I had so many iPods from losing them all the time. Lol. The jelly shoes just made me laugh, I had them in almost every color ! 🤣🤣. I love your videos Hope!

Oh my goodness, living through you as you time travel back to my childhood.
And hey girl… I was also a bear paw kind of girl growing up. The one pair of uggs I willed myself to purchase got tore up by my Saint Bernard 😭 I should see if i can salvage them and turn them into the smaller ones like that girl! Hehehe doubt I’m that talented but it hurts me I only barely got one winter out of them. 😭😂

In case there are any makeup lovers in the chat, those Mini Bratz eyeshadows are based off Makeup Revolution actual eyeshadow! You can still find them on their website!

Oodie feels like an updated more functional snuggie to me. Also those popcorn shirts are apparently coming back and I’m convinced they just sat in a warehouse for a couple decades since they take up almost no space and are just pulling them out to resell now 😂

I love videos like this, I was born in the 90s and it’s crazy how little things made us so excited! Nowadays kids want expensive designer crap….. I was happy if I got a fuzzy keychain from Claire’s 😅 or a ring/stickers from a vending machine! Would love more videos like this 💙💙

It’s so wild that early 2000s merchandise is now vintage!!! Life happens way too fast! My favorite thing growing up was lite-brite!! I also always wanted heelies (the sneakers with wheels?) but I would’ve 100% broken some bones with those🤣

Can definitely confirm that the jelly platforms give mad blisters. I bought a black pair back in the day & was so excited to wear them to work, and I lasted until about lunchtime until I had to admit defeat and take them off and I never wore them again lol 😅😫

The popcorn shirt! I wore mine to all my friends bday parties back in the early 2000s because I though it made me look cool 😂 Love the video, such a blast from the past seeing all the trends we used to follow.

My mom owned a hot pink popcorn shirt and the Snuggie. She’s in her 70’s, I’m in my 50’s. My sister and I thought they were bizarre and graciously declined her offer to buy us these tops. The Snuggie was totally on-brand for our mom, for sure. She liked to hang around the house in her “housecoat” when we were growing up in the 80’s. I bought the Floam for my nephew. I thought it was cool. My sister bought a lava lamp for him.

It’s actually really incredible how we share the same memories of these toys, but then felt 10x older when you didn’t know how to get to work the landline phone lol
